Delivery:
Our meteorite rings are all machined from a solid piece of meteorite in a very time-consuming process. We are currently averaging 6-8 weeks of production time for all meteorite ring orders. If you have a pressing occasion (like your wedding), please contact us at support@patrickadairdesigns.com and we may be able to accommodate you.
Ring Care:
Because all of our meteorite rings are machined from a solid piece of real meteorite they may ship with small cracks or nicks in them. This is because there are sometimes crystals underneath the surface of the meteorite that dissolve during the etching process. This leads to small aberrations in the meteorite, but these are part of what makes the etching organic.
We recommendchoosing the carbon fiber liner to help prevent rust, but even the carbon fiber liner isn't 100% effective. These rings are made of iron so they are easily susceptible to rust. We recommend that you avoid water and wax your ring regularly, especially if you are storing the ring. We are not able to replace rings due to rust because all meteorite rings will rust if not regularly cared for.
Due to current order volume and material availability, Meteorite Ring orders are expected to take 8+ weeks of production.
Meteorite is an iron based material that is prone to rust. For information on how to care for your meteorite ring, check out our detailed blog post.
